Adams was principally a book illustrator & famous for his dust-jacket designs for the Agatha Christie novels too. The poster features artwork adapted from the first edition book cover by artist Tom Adams (see image below) and is clearly Salvador Dali-esque. The 3rd Virginia Detachment would be formed under Colonel Abraham Buford and was composed of elements of the 7th Virginia, as well as various pieces of other units.
